Canon EOS 1DX Mark II Release Date Talk – 1st Of February?
Canon Rumors and various other camera news sites are suggesting the release date of the new Canon flagship camera might be due on the 1st of February or the commencing week. Canon has already confirmed a press event that we already posted about. The Japan based camera company is keeping the information about the press event pretty vague and usually that’s only the case when they are ready to make a major announcement.
We are really hoping the announcement to be about the new flagship camera they have in the works – the Canon EOS 1DX Mark II since Nikon has already announced and even shipped for reviews their new and updated Nikon D5 camera. While specifications for the EOS 1DX successor are still not officially confirmed, we have a few suggestions as mentioned in the 1DX Mark II specifications page:
- Brand New 22mp full-frame Canon developed sensor
- Dual Pixel Cmos AF with 80+ Focus Points
- New Processor – Digic7
- Dynamic Range of 15+ stops
- Close To 15FPS Continuos Shooting
- Video Capabilities – Native 4K Video Recording
- New Dual CFast 2.0 Recording
- LCD – Slightly Larger Display
We still don’t know the exact date or location of the Canon press event when the new camera announcement is due to be made, but we’ll keep you posted once we have more information!!!
